CALIFORNIA COUNSELING ASSOCIATION

For the Advancement of Excellence in Counseling and Human Development

About CCA

The California Counseling Association (CCA) is a nonprofit tax-exempt professional association incorporated in 1967 as a state branch of The American Counseling Association (ACA). We serve our members to advance counseling and professional development in the broad areas of mental health, career, and education.

CCA acts as the umbrella organization for 10 divisions and affiliates within the profession. Our program is carried out at the local level to respond to local needs and situations.

We support our members as leaders and innovators in counseling in partnership with schools, government agencies, private and pastoral practice, business, and industry.

CCA provides leadership through an organized program of professional development, professional advocacy in local communities, and an active presence in the California state legislature.
