The California Association for Specialists in Group Work is committed to providing leadership in enhancing the standards for professional and ethical practice, support research; disseminate knowledge in the field of group work. The four membership categories are:
Student - Persons who are actively enrolled in a graduate program and are studying group work. Cannot hold elective office.
Associate - Members who have an interest in Group work. All rights and benefits of membership except holding elective office.
Professional - Members who earned a graduate degree in counseling or closely related fields and are engaged in teaching, practice or research of group work. Members have all rights and benefits of membership.
Emeritus - Persons who meet emeritus requirements established by CACD. They have all rights and benefits of membership, except holding elective office.
