The California Association for Multi-Cultural Counseling is chartered by CCA and the Association for Multi-Cultural Counseling and Development (AMCD) to promote a greater understanding of ethnic minorities among members of the counseling and guidance professions. By establishing a communication network among professionals in local, regional, and national groups. CAMC strives to design and implement programs to enhance both the professionals' psychological and educational growth as well as that of the individuals to whom services are rendered. There are three types of membership:
Regular. Includes individuals with full or part-time employment or some experience in the area of guidance and/or personnel work.
Student. (Non-Voting)
Associate. (Non-Voting) Individuals who are interested in personnel and guidance work but do not possess the qualifications listed in the aforementioned two categories may be admitted as associate members.

Join the Career Center for UC Berkeley, as a member of a dynamic counseling team, providing innovative and comprehensive career services. We work with a diverse and wide spectrum of customers including undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni. We serve as a key resource for them in making critical and informed decisions about their futures by providing comprehensive resources, programs, and counseling on career development, internships, employment, and graduate school.

Responsibilities:

Provide career counseling services and related programming for students and alumni majoring in Business Administration and other business-minded students from various academic disciplines; and play a critical role as a team member to deliver these services

Provide students with guidance regarding career options, goal setting, the career and internship job search process, and graduate school

Play a critical role in a network of relationships by linking students, employers, and academic departments with information, resources, programs, and services relevant to business-related careers and internships

Write and maintain specific sections of the Career Center website and contribute to unit publications

Requirements:

Master's degree in Counseling, Career Development, College Student Personnel, or related field, or equivalent experience

Ability to interact with a diverse student and staff population and demonstrated experience and effectiveness in the use of cross-cultural counseling skills

Ability to participate effectively as a team member

Experience counseling students regarding career decision-making and employment issues, and demonstrated understanding of career development

Experience designing and delivering workshops/programs

Knowledge of employer recruiting strategies, job market trends, and occupational, career/internship, and employment information sources, as well as the application process for graduate and professional school

Skill in establishing effective working relationships with staff of all levels, faculty, academic personnel, employers, and alumni

Experience and proficiency with incorporating the use of technology

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred:

Familiarity with the hiring needs of industries that typically recruit students interested in business career fields such as Investment Banking, Management Consulting, and Accounting

This is a 60 percent part-time position with the possibility of expanding to full-time. The full-time annual hiring range for this position is $44,808 - $64,320.
