The California Association for Multi-Cultural Counseling is chartered by CCA and the Association for Multi-Cultural Counseling and Development (AMCD) to promote a greater understanding of ethnic minorities among members of the counseling and guidance professions. By establishing a communication network among professionals in local, regional, and national groups. CAMC strives to design and implement programs to enhance both the professionals' psychological and educational growth as well as that of the individuals to whom services are rendered. There are three types of membership:
Regular. Includes individuals with full or part-time employment or some
experience in the area of guidance and/or personnel work.
Student. (Non-Voting)
Associate. (Non-Voting) Individuals who are interested in personnel and
guidance work but do not possess the qualifications listed in the aforementioned
two categories may be admitted as associate members.
