PURPOSE:
The purposes of CWC are:

• To encourage and support leadership and the full range of contributions by women in CWC, in CCA, and in the profession of counseling and in related human development professions.
  
  
• To strengthen opportunities and advance accessibility of choice, utilization of talent, and development of self-sufficiency and connectedness for women and underrepresented groups.
  
  
• To contribute to the information, knowledge, and action base regarding gender and regarding the gender aspects in the profession of counseling and in related human development professions.
  

LEVELS OF MEMBERSHIP:
Regular (Voting) - An individual that is licensed, credentialed or professionally employed in the helping services.
Associate (Voting) - An individual that supports the philosophy and purposes of the Women's Caucus.
Student (Voting) - An individual who is a college student, not employed full time and in progress toward a license, credential, certificate, registry, professional employment, or degree in counseling or a related human development profession.
Emeritus (Voting) - An individual who is retired from licensed, credentialed, certified, or registered status, or from professional employment in counseling or a related human development profession.

MEMBERSHIP:
All interested counselors or graduate students may join the California Women's Caucus by applying through CCA/CWC- joint membership is currently $40 for Student, $55 for Emeritus Member and $135 for Regular Member and $85 for Associate Member. CCA members may join California Women's Caucus for $15 (students and emeritus for $5).


SCHOLARSHIP:
The California Women's Caucus is offering a $400 scholarship. Applicants must 1) be enrolled in a counseling or related graduate program; 2) submit a letter of intent and transcript of graduate work in counseling; 3) submit a 2 to 3 page paper on the impact and importance of counseling on women's issues. Deadline is December 15th. Winner will be announced in January and be presented at the CCA Convention. For more information, contact the CCA Administrative Office.
