The California Association for Adult Development fosters sound practices in counseling and related services for adults, including older persons; and promotes education and progressive public policy concerning adult development and aging. Membership categories are:
Regular. (Eligible to vote and hold office). Must have Master's Degree,
or equivalent, in counseling or a related field; and be engaged or be interested
in counseling or related services for adults, or teaching of such services,
and have a year of experience pertaining to adults.
Associate. (Ineligible to vote or hold office). Must support the purposes
of CAAD.
Retired (Emeritus). Eligible to vote and hold office. Age 65; or age
60 and not employed full time.
Graduate Student. (Eligible to vote and hold office). Restricted to counseling
or a closely related field.
